The Electorate

The electorate of MITCHELL in the South Australian Parliament was named after Sir William Mitchell (1861-1962), a Chancellor of the University of Adelaide.

The electorate is located in the south-west of Adelaide, approximately 26.5 square kilometres, and runs from Marion to Reynella. It includes the O’Halloran Hill Recreation Park and the Westfield Marion Shopping Centre.

Since created in 1969, Mitchell has had four representatives:
